The position holder will perform rock mechanics related technical engineering work during all phases of the well projects in order to ascertain safe and efficient operations. Demonstrate strong commitment to the HSSE and quality standards within Aker BP. Provide assurance and technical support for safe, efficient, and reliable operations within the Business Management System, regulations and standards.
Typical work tasks include wellbore stability predictions, pore pressure and fracture gradient predictions, finite element modeling of reservoir and overburden, and reservoir rock mechanics. Requirements
- Minimum M.Sc. degree or similar in scientific subjects
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience applying rock mechanics skills in the oil and gas industry
- Good understanding on how digitalization will affect how we work
- Fluent in English
- Strong commitment to HSSE and quality standards
- Interest in data availability, interpretation, visualization for decisions
Responsibilities
- Perform rock mechanics related technical engineering work during all phases of well projects
