Underground Miner

Hudbay is a Canadian integrated mining company with operations across the Americas, principally focused on the discovery, production and marketing of base and precious metals. We are seeking experienced candidates for underground positions at our Lalor Mine located in Snow Lake, MB. Exciting job opportunities await in a culture of collaboration.

The role involves working a 7/7 schedule from Wednesdays to Tuesdays, rotating nightshift and dayshift. A fully equipped camp is available with quarterly travel allowance, or relocation and housing assistance to the community of Snow Lake. Daily tasks start with receiving workplace assignments and instructions from the Front Line Supervisor. Transport materials, tools, equipment, blasting agents and accessories to the worksite. Follow Hudbay procedures and Manitoba regulations for drilling, blasting, bolting and other practices.

Conduct detailed field level risk assessments prior to starting work each day. Perform thorough pre-ops on all operated equipment when qualified and authorized. Install and maintain services per Hudbay standards while recording relevant data.
