The Supply Chain Intern supports the Jefferson manufacturing team, focusing on the planning department.

You will participate in the planning process for your area of responsibility and handle scheduling and releasing daily work. Support seamless interactions between purchasing and materials management to resolve gaps between supply capabilities and production plans. Act as the day-to-day point of contact for operations on order promising, delivery issues, and demand-supply conflicts.

Work within the Jefferson manufacturing environment, ensuring planning capabilities drive maximum efficiencies and lowest operational costs. Utilize systems and pursue process improvements to optimize production planning. Collaborate across operations, purchasing, and planning teams in energy technology manufacturing.

This role offers hands-on involvement in production planning for energy products. Contribute to real manufacturing challenges while building practical supply chain skills. Occasional travel to local facilities supports broader team interactions.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program
  • Preferably enrolled in Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or Business
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel occasionally to local facilities

Responsibilities

  • Participate in planning process for area of responsibility
  • Schedule and release daily work
  • Support seamless interaction of purchasing and materials management to resolve gaps between supply capabilities and production plans
  • Act as day-to-day point of contact for operations to resolve order promising situations, customer delivery difficulties, and demand versus supply conflicts
  • Ensure planning capabilities support maximum efficiencies and lowest cost of operation through systems utilization and process improvements
  • Perform other duties as requested
