About this role

The Mining Engineer EDP position rotates through technical and operational roles in Technical Services and Mine Operations. Recent graduates with less than 1 year experience will plan, track, and reconcile mine plans while executing them via field supervision. The role develops engineers into well-rounded future leaders.

In the Operations Rotation, supervise Pit Operations, Drill & Blast, and Mine Projects crews to ensure plans complete in a safe, productive environment. The Technical Rotation builds proficiency in Grade Control, direct design for Short-, Mid-, and Long-Range Planning, and Technical Services projects including geotechnical, hydrogeology, and survey.

Work demands physical ability to lift and move 50 pounds occasionally, traverse steep berms and muck piles, handle temperature extremes, and walk or hike for extended periods. The environment requires training in environmental awareness and Safety & Health, including MSHA training completion.

Promotional review occurs every 18 months, with a fast track to Engineer III for successful candidates upon program completion. Other duties as required support ongoing development in mining operations.
