About this role

Mining Engineering Grader positions are available for the Summer 2026 semester in the Mining and Materials Engineering hiring unit. Three positions currently open: MIME 422 Mine Ventilation (49 hours, July 7 to August 20), MIME 424 Underground Mining Methods (32 hours, May 20 to July 3), and MIME 428 Environmental Mining Engineering (25 hours, May 19 to July 2). Graders will support course instruction by evaluating student work in specialized mining topics. Hours vary by position, with an hourly salary of $19.00. External candidates must use personal email for applications, not McGill accounts.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of mine ventilation principles

Responsibilities

  • Grade student assignments and assessments for MIME 422 Mine Ventilation
  • Evaluate work in MIME 424 Underground Mining Methods
  • Review submissions for MIME 428 Environmental Mining Engineering
  • Provide feedback on mining engineering concepts per course requirements
  • Support summer semester courses from May to August 2026
  • Assist in maintaining academic standards in mining topics
