The Supply Chain & Inventory Professional ensures efficient, timely, and cost-effective flow of direct materials throughout the organization.

This role oversees supplier performance, sourcing activities, inventory control, logistics coordination, and system optimization. Professionals manage supplier schedules, refine material flows, anticipate supply risks, and expedite critical deliveries. They align administrative processes with material movements to reduce waste and bottlenecks.

Key duties include developing RFQ processes, leading supplier contract negotiations, and building strong supplier partnerships. Inventory and logistics management involves planning direct materials, ensuring customs compliance, and monthly reconciliations. The role supports uninterrupted supply and efficient practices for raw materials and finished inventory.

Systems optimization features leading local ERP upgrades, coordinating training plans, and improving traceability. Work closely with US and international supply chain teams to mitigate risks and establish standard processes. Ensure compliance with local legislation and Sandvik processes while contributing to organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in supplier performance management and risk anticipation
  • Expertise in sourcing strategies, RFQ processes, and contract negotiations
  • Knowledge of inventory control, logistics coordination, and customs compliance
  • Experience with ERP systems and process optimization for traceability
  • Ability to build and sustain strong supplier partnerships
  • Skills in maintaining master data and achieving financial targets

Responsibilities

  • Ensure direct materials are available at the point of use, on time, at required quality levels, and at minimum cost
  • Manage supplier schedules and maintain continuous, efficient material flow
  • Design and refine material flows to support production and reduce bottlenecks
  • Develop and manage an effective RFQ process
  • Lead supplier contract negotiations and manage strategic supplier relationships
  • Plan and control all direct materials while ensuring customs compliance
  • Lead and coordinate local ERP upgrade initiatives
  • Work closely with US and international supply chain teams to mitigate risks
