Englewood, US · Full-time · $74,353 – $113,595
About this role
This position offers the ability to directly apply knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics in power plant engineering and oil & gas engineering. You will engage in the design, modification, and analysis of mechanical systems within project teams. Focus areas include preparing engineering deliverables to meet project needs.
Day-to-day tasks involve preparing calculations to size equipment, piping, valves, and in-line piping components. You will develop technical specifications, perform technical bid reviews, and create technical studies and reports for client support. Responsibilities extend to preparing Piping & Instrumentation drawings, equipment lists, line lists, valve lists, and material lists.
Collaboration occurs with mechanical system designers to produce physical design deliverables such as isometric piping drawings, plans, sections, elevations, and pipe support drawings. The role is based on a hybrid work schedule requiring in-office work 3 days per week. Project teams emphasize efficient execution and client satisfaction.
Potential travel includes client and vendor offices for design reviews and plant sites for construction coordination and field verification. Expectations include using modern tools like automation and AI to solve engineering problems, improve workflows, and deliver cost-effective designs. This supports growth in numerical computations and technical problem-solving.
