Seeking a Quarry Manager with 5+ years of supervisory experience in mining operations for a direct hire opportunity. Oversee the safe and efficient execution of mining operations and initial crushing stages. Ensure compliance with all relevant permits while developing strategies to optimize reserves.

Manage the extraction, processing, and distribution of materials from the mine site, prioritizing safety, efficiency, and environmental standards. Collaborate with engineers, geologists, surveyors, and contractors to plan and implement mining projects. Gather data to create targeted training programs that improve operator performance using best practices.

Direct and manage a skilled team of 10, setting key performance indicators and achieving operational goals. Oversee the efficient operation of the crushing and screening plant, ensuring well-trained operators uphold company standards. Conduct employee performance evaluations and address disciplinary matters when necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a related field
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in a mining operation
  • Strong knowledge of mining and quarry methods and processes, drilling, blasting, and reserve estimation
  • Familiarity with heavy equipment
  • Experience overseeing crushing and screening plant operations
  • Ability to develop and manage budgets aligned with financial plans
  • Knowledge of safety, environmental, and legal compliance standards in mining

Responsibilities

  • Manage the extraction, processing, and distribution of materials from the mine site while ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with environmental and legal standards
  • Collaborate with engineers, geologists, surveyors, and contractors to effectively plan and implement mining projects
  • Develop short- and long-term strategies to optimize reserves and mining operations
  • Oversee the efficient operation of the crushing and screening plant, ensuring operators are well-trained and uphold company standards
  • Direct and manage staff and equipment to optimize operational performance, setting key performance indicators and achieving goals
  • Foster professional growth among production personnel by providing skill development opportunities
  • Conduct employee performance evaluations and address disciplinary matters when necessary
  • Ensure equipment availability, maximize uptime, and develop capital requests for new equipment or major overhauls
