About this role
The Electrical Maintenance Planner supports mining operations by optimizing equipment reliability through planning, scheduling, and coordinating electrical maintenance tasks. Ensures safety compliance and manages parts inventory to minimize downtime. Focuses on improving equipment availability while aligning with OEM specifications.
Oversees electrical maintenance planning and identifies potential work using condition monitoring programs and financial package-based work programs. Develops weekly agreed maintenance plans with equipment strategies to maximize production and meet reliability targets. Aligns defects, breakdown repairs with periodic maintenance, providing weekly updates.
Ensures work completes within budget using cost-effective resources to maintain infrastructure. Assists procurement and freight of parts from approved suppliers to retain reliability. Maintains accurate costing reports, support documentation, and closes out completed work orders.

Requirements
- Knowledge of electrical systems and maintenance in mining equipment
- Proficiency in condition monitoring programs for predictive maintenance
- Experience developing maintenance plans aligned with OEM specifications
- Skills in scheduling to minimize downtime and maximize equipment availability
- Ability to manage parts inventory and bills of materials
- Understanding of mining safety compliance standards
- Familiarity with procurement processes and approved suppliers for electrical parts
- Competence in maintenance costing, budgeting, and work order management
Responsibilities
- Oversee electrical maintenance planning
- Identify potential work using an effective condition monitoring program and financial package-based work programs
- Develop weekly agreed maintenance plans using equipment strategies to facilitate maximum production and minimize downtime and costs
- Align other maintenance activities such as defects and breakdown repairs with periodic maintenance and provide weekly updates
- Develop a recommended and optimized bill of materials for various standard jobs
- Ensure planned work is completed within allowed budget and resources through cost-effective use
- Assist with procurement and freight of parts and services using approved suppliers
- Coordinate warranty claims and ensure warranty forms are lodged
