Requirements

  • At least 1 year experience operating heavy equipment like excavators, dozers, rollers, and off-road trucks
  • Sound understanding of pertinent safety guidelines
  • Ability to follow direction
  • Sharp decision-making skills, particularly under pressure
  • Ability to work extended hours as required
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred
  • GPS knowledge preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with excellent vision and manual dexterity

Responsibilities

  • Maneuver motorized heavy equipment for accurate removal and placement of materials
  • Load and offload rocks, debris, and other materials from heavy equipment
  • Observe all stipulated safety codes at all times
  • Communicate with coworkers to clarify project specifications as needed
  • Report injuries and accidents to the site manager
  • Advise site manager on necessary upgrades, repairs, and replacements
  • Aid coworkers to ensure site is clean and organized at end of each shift
  • Perform additional duties as required
