About this role

WIN Waste Innovations is looking for a 3rd Class Maintenance Mechanic who will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, cleaning, inspecting and maintenance of mechanical equipment throughout the facility in a safe and professional manner. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic industrial environment focused on essential waste-to-energy operations.

In this hands-on position, you will initiate and complete work orders, document critical information, and use Computer Maintenance software (Tabware) to track repairs. You will troubleshoot equipment, diagnose problems, and make necessary repairs using mechanical skills including welding, soldering, brazing, and pipe fitting.

You will operate mobile equipment like industrial forklifts, manlifts, and skid steer loaders, and perform routine maintenance and repairs around facility grounds. The work environment requires wearing personal protective equipment and moving about all areas of the plant, including catwalks and uneven surfaces, in conditions where noise is present.

Requirements

  • Tech Schooling Experience
  • Proven mechanical abilities in previous jobs
  • Experience with Oxy-Acetylene torch usage
  • Ability to read and record measurements with precision
  • Welding, soldering, brazing, pipe fitting experience
  • Licenses as required by Local, State, Federal, Environmental and/or Health/Safety Regulatory agencies
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and climb/walk on heights greater than 4 feet
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment including respirators, hardhat, and safety harness

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and complete work orders and requisitions, documenting all critical and pertinent information on a routine basis
  • Use and become proficient with Computer Maintenance software (Tabware)
  • Respond and report to work during off hours when emergency repairs are required
  • Troubleshoot equipment, diagnose problems, and make necessary repairs
  • Operate mobile equipment including industrial forklifts, manlifts, skid steer type loaders, and other mobile equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs around facility grounds
  • Identify and repair potential safety hazards
  • Access confined spaces and pressure vessels through standard 12 by 16 inch manways
