Anglo American Steelmaking Coal operates five mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin. Dawson Mine seeks an experienced Mining Supervisor to oversee a dragline team. This role contributes to safe and efficient steelmaking coal production for global infrastructure.

Coordinate personnel, equipment, and resources for dragline operations. Ensure site activities align with operational standards, safety protocols, and production targets. Enforce plan compliance while promoting engineer and operator engagement.

Requirements

Dragline experience highly advantageous
Significant operational experience within the coal mining industry
Open cut coal mining exposure
Leadership and dragline experience
Knowledge of safe mining practices and statutory requirements

Responsibilities

Coordinate personnel, equipment, and resources
Ensure dragline activities are undertaken safely, cost-effectively, and efficiently
Enforce plan compliance and promote engineer and operator engagement
Ensure compliance with statutory legislative requirements
Oversee dragline team to meet production targets
Monitor open cut coal mining operations for alignment with standards
