About this role
Parsons has an opportunity for a CBA – Security III professional with strong emergency medical response experience. This role serves as a key onsite responder at the Faro Mine Remediation Project. The position provides medical aid, mine rescue support, and site safety services in a remote industrial environment.
Daily work includes responding to vehicle extractions, medical aid calls, mine rescue incidents, and wildfire monitoring. You will oversee security operations while monitoring lone worker alarms and tracking all site access. Confidentiality of medical information is maintained according to privacy requirements.
The position is represented by USW Local #925 under a Collective Bargaining Agreement. Local candidates are preferred while fly-in/fly-out candidates may be considered for a two-weeks-on, two-weeks-off rotation covering day and night shifts.
Ongoing drills and training maintain emergency response and mine rescue certification readiness. New hires and team members receive instruction in response procedures and safe work practices to support continuous site safety.
Requirements
- Strong emergency medical response experience required for onsite responder duties.
- Ability to maintain emergency response and mine rescue certification readiness through drills and training.
- Experience responding to vehicle extractions, medical incidents, and mine rescue scenarios.
- Knowledge of access control, site safety protocols, and surveillance operations.
- Capability to handle confidential medical information per privacy and reporting requirements.
- Willingness to work day and night shifts on a two-weeks-on, two-weeks-off rotation.
Responsibilities
- Serve as an onsite Emergency Medical Responder providing first aid and medical support in urgent and non-routine situations.
- Respond to emergency events including vehicle extractions, medical aid calls, mine rescue incidents, wildfire monitoring, and other mine site response scenarios.
- Participate in drills, training exercises, and ongoing competency activities required to maintain emergency response and mine rescue certification readiness.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle first aid and medical information in accordance with applicable privacy and reporting requirements.
- Train new hires and Mine Rescue team members in response procedures, site expectations, and safe work practices.
- Oversee site security and surveillance operations ensuring compliance with access control and site safety protocols.
- Monitor and respond to emergency alerts including lone worker alarms, investigate disturbances, and contact police or fire departments as needed.
- Monitor and track all incoming and outgoing personnel, customers, vendors, and suppliers.
