About this role
We are seeking an accomplished security and emergency management senior leader to lead enterprise-wide security strategy and ICS-guided emergency response programs. You will shape and execute a unified, risk-based framework that integrates corporate security, threat intelligence, insider-threat mitigation, and emergency preparedness across the enterprise, aligned with Utilities and Midstream businesses.
This role is central to advancing our zero-harm commitment, strengthening operational resilience, and ensuring preparedness for an evolving threat landscape. You will direct the enterprise Emergency Management Program, ensuring ICS-compliant plans, procedures, and training. Serve as principal advisor to Incident Commanders during enterprise-level emergencies, severe weather events, security incidents, and cyber-physical disruptions.
Lead enterprise tabletop, functional, and full-scale exercises, along with After-Action Reviews and Deficiency Improvement Updates. Oversee 24/7 emergency notification systems and lead internal investigations related to security breaches, fraud, workplace violence, and insider threats. Coordinate with HR, Legal, and external law enforcement agencies while preserving evidence and confidentiality.
Establish a comprehensive threat intelligence program monitoring global, national, and local developments, producing assessments for facilities, operations, executive travel, and emerging risks. Build and mature an enterprise insider threat program for employees, contractors, and vendors. Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering collaboration, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years of experience working in a corporate or similar environment, preferably within the energy sector
- Strong knowledge and experience working in a regulated environment in the midstream gas and utility industries
- Deep technical and regulatory expertise in ICS emergency management frameworks
- Demonstrated experience designing and leading threat intelligence and insider threat programs in a regulated environment
Responsibilities
- Direct the enterprise Emergency Management Program, ensuring ICS-compliant plans, procedures, and training
- Serve as principal advisor to Incident Commanders during enterprise-level emergencies, severe weather events, security incidents, and cyber-physical disruptions
- Lead enterprise tabletop, functional, and full-scale exercises; lead After-Action Reviews (AARs) and Deficiency Improvement Updates (DIUs)
- Oversee the reliability of 24/7 emergency notification systems
- Lead or oversee all internal investigations related to security breaches, fraud, theft, workplace violence, substance abuse policy violations, and insider threat concerns
- Establish and lead a comprehensive threat intelligence program monitoring global, national, and local developments
- Build and mature an enterprise insider threat program for employees, contractors, and vendors with access to critical infrastructure or sensitive information
- Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, sustainability, and continuous improvement
