Senior Assistant - Mine Operations (Overman)

Adani Group is a diversified organisation in India comprising 10 publicly traded companies. As an Overman the primary responsibility is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of mining activities within the assigned area.

The role involves taking over shift charge, supervising dump management, face management, drain management, dewatering and haul road maintenance. Rounds are conducted to inspect benches and OB dump stability while reviewing blasting schedules and enforcing safety measures such as proper haul road maintenance and dust control.

Key internal stakeholders include Shift Incharges, Mines Manager and other department employees. External parties comprise Contractors, Contract Supervisor, Operators and DGMS Officials to maintain compliance and operational continuity across the mine.

Records of operations, safety, equipment and manpower are maintained in accordance with DGMS guidelines. Any observed or reported dangers receive prompt attention with hazardous areas fenced and incidents reported to the shift incharge and control room.
