About this role
This role provides advanced technical leadership to optimize end-to-end operational performance across the site. You will ensure production systems, processes, and personnel operate safely and efficiently in alignment with organizational standards and business objectives.
You will lead the development of data-driven tools and methodologies to support strategic decision-making across the value chain. Conduct high-level analysis of operational procedures, process trends, and equipment performance to identify constraints and recommend actions for production and quality objectives.
Collaborate with Control Room Operators, plant management, and maintenance teams to ensure safe and optimized process operations. This role is based in Kitimat, BC, a small community offering tranquillity and unparalleled access to the great outdoors.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mining, Metallurgy, Chemical, or related discipline).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a complex industrial environment, with preference for backgrounds in Mineral Processing, Pyrometallurgy, or Induction Furnace operations.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a fast-paced, highly technical operational setting, including ability to lead teams and drive sustained process improvements.
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation, automation, and process control systems, with ability to lead initiatives enhancing process stability and equipment reliability.
- Proven commitment to safety with a history of proactive risk management and compliance leadership.
- Advanced troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including experience conducting root-cause analyses and interpreting complex data.

- Lead development, implementation, and continuous improvement of data-driven tools and methodologies to support strategic decision-making across the value chain.
- Conduct high-level analysis of operational procedures, process trends, and equipment performance to identify systemic constraints and recommend actions.
- Collaborate with Control Room Operators, plant management, maintenance teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure safe and optimized process operations.
- Prepare and deliver accurate, timely operational reporting to support decision-making at site and corporate levels.
- Champion continuous improvement, operational excellence, and technical innovation to influence long-term plant performance and strategic planning.
