We are looking for a Mining Engineer Expert to act as a mining specialist and project manager during client investment project development and execution phases. The role includes leading feasibility studies and serving as Qualified Person under JORC, NI 43-101, or PERC codes where qualifications allow.

You will be fully supported by multi-skilled colleagues within an international project base that spans greenfield mines, concentrators, smelters, and battery metals plants. AFRY provides thorough induction into the Industry Division and is committed to well-being at work.

Requirements

  • M.Sc. degree or higher in a relevant field
  • Minimum 7 years hands-on experience in mining feasibility studies, mining engineering and project execution
  • Ability to act as leading expert in mining projects
  • Capability to develop life-of-mine schedules for open-pit and underground projects
  • Experience in open-pit and stope optimisation workflows
  • Understanding of scoping, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies under JORC, NI 43-101 or PERC
  • Qualified Person status with membership in a recognised professional organisation

Responsibilities

  • Act as mining expert and project manager during project development and execution phases
  • Serve as Qualified Person in mining feasibility study projects under JORC, NI 43-101 or PERC
  • Lead mining engineering tasks and develop life-of-mine schedules for open-pit and underground projects
  • Perform open-pit and stope optimisation workflows
  • Manage sales, prepare proposals and deliver project management services
  • Develop working methods and client offerings in mining and metals
  • Provide practical solutions based on deep field knowledge during conceptual and basic engineering
