Recent technical school graduates or experienced technicians maintaining construction equipment, diesel engines, and more are invited to transition skills through extensive training on Komatsu products.

As a Lube Tech (Class 3 Mechanic), perform preventative maintenance services and strong diagnostics on heavy equipment like construction, mining, and material handling machines. Repair, rebuild, or replace engines and major components using advanced knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic systems. Operate heavy equipment and convey repair details in clear service notes for work orders.

Work in physically demanding industrial environments with exposure to noise, heat, cold, odors, hazards, and atmospheric conditions. Involves sitting, standing, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, working at heights, and overtime as needed. Participate in branch operations, mentor less tenured mechanics, and deliver customer service including writing quotes.

Requirements

  • CDL license and clean driving record
  • 5 plus years of experience in the heavy equipment repair industry
  • Strong diagnostic and repair experience with heavy equipment
  • Advanced knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic systems
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft products and industry software
  • Ability to read and write the English language
  • Ability to lift/carry 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Hand/eye and motor coordination for working at heights and overtime

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance services on heavy equipment
  • Diagnose and repair heavy equipment including construction, mining, and material handling
  • Repair, rebuild, or replace engines and other major components
  • Operate heavy equipment

  • Participate in writing customer quotes and deliver customer service
  • Mentor less tenured mechanics in branch operations
  • Drive lube truck and perform other duties as assigned
