RESPEC has an opening for a temporary part-time mining engineering intern in the Mining & Energy Division. The intern will be expected to work 40 hours a week. Primary activities include assisting in projects that involve geologic and reserves modeling, mine planning, environmental engineering, and permitting. The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of experienced engineering and geological staff. Requirements

  • Working toward a bachelor of science or advanced degree in geological, mechanical, mining, civil engineering, or related field
  • Experience and/or education using AutoCAD, IntelliCAD, Carlson software, Surpac, or other mine planning software
  • Strong computer skills, especially in using spreadsheets and databases
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills to effectively work in teams
  • Flexibility to work on various projects simultaneously
