Mariana Minerals

Houston, US · Internship · $45,000 – $65,000

About this role

Mariana Minerals is a software-first, vertically integrated minerals company on a mission to supply the critical minerals powering modern energy, AI, and defense technologies. We’re reimagining the minerals supply chain by combining deep industry expertise with advanced software, automation, and data-driven decision-making. We are hiring a Mining Engineering Intern to work on real, high-impact problems within the Process & Plant Engineering team.

You will contribute directly to our CopperOne project, working closely with engineers and domain experts. This role provides hands-on experience building and shipping solutions, not just supporting tasks. Expect to engage with mine planning workflows and technical data handling daily.

Join a mission-driven team reshaping the way critical minerals are sourced and supplied globally. Our culture is built on Extreme Ownership, Engineer Out Requirements then Automate, and Share Your Legos principles. We emphasize collaboration, smart automation, and ownership in an inclusive environment.

You’ll have the autonomy to make big decisions, the tools to innovate, and opportunities to drive solutions. Contribute to the future of responsible mineral sourcing and supply. Mariana is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity and inclusion.

  • Assist with building and documenting standardized engineering workflows to improve consistency and efficiency across the mine planning team
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks using scripting tools (e.g., Python, VBA, or mine planning software APIs) and support implementation
  • Compile and QA/QC technical inputs including topographic data, drill hole databases, and resource block models
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical reports and study deliverables in support of NI 43-101 or SK-1300 reporting requirements
