Mining Engineer Intern

Western Rock Products, a CRH Company, seeks a Mining Engineer Intern eager to learn engineering and operational sides of the business. Work includes engineering tasks and hands-on collaboration with crews on drilling and crushing. Self-starters with a willingness to learn are ideal candidates.

Time will be split among diverse projects like geologic strata modeling, planning for exploration and mining, surveying, model reconciliation, crushing, and drilling. Duties involve both technical analysis and field operations. Expect a mix of office and site-based activities.

Work collaboratively in teams, independently, and with crews while willing to get dirty. Travel required 10-50% to sites. Perform in severe climate conditions on uneven terrain, with physical demands including lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally.

Gain industry experience and understanding of different business parts. Receive training for those with the right attitude, even at beginner level in tools like AutoCAD/Carlson. Develop skills across mining operations through real-world exposure.
