About this role

Take over shift charge from the previous overman ensuring smooth transition and noting operational, safety, equipment, and manpower details. Conduct rounds to inspect benches, OB dumps, face management, drain management, dewatering, and haul road maintenance.

Review daily blasting schedules and implement precautions for safe operations. Monitor dust levels and apply control measures such as water sprinkling while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and DGMS guidelines.

Monitor machinery and operators for safe operations. Maintain records of operations, safety, equipment, and manpower. Respond promptly to accidents or incidents, supervising rescue operations if required and reporting to the shift incharge.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Mining or any other branch of Engineering with Overman certificate
  • Valid driving license
  • No colour blindness
  • 1-5 years of relevant experience

  • Review daily blasting schedule and implement precautions to ensure safe blasting operations.
  • Monitor dust levels in the mine and implement dust control measures such as sprinkling water.
  • Monitor machinery and operators to ensure safe and secure operations.
  • Maintain records of operations, safety, equipment, and manpower in accordance with DGMS guidelines.
  • Carry out timely inspections and attend to any observed or reported dangers.
  • Respond promptly to accidents or incidents, supervising rescue operations if required.
