Mine Operator

Reporting to the Mine Shift Supervisor, the Mine Operator operates heavy equipment for the mine department, including 777 Haul Trucks, following all safety regulations and procedures. Rotation is 2 weeks on-site with 2 weeks off-site. This role progresses through training and supervision.

Operate haul trucks from one point to another under close supervision of a trainer or senior Mine Operator, understanding dumping locations and loading areas. Complete basic paperwork such as timesheets and walk around inspection forms, including location, material hauled, load count, hours worked, and equipment condition.

Communicate effectively with other operators, colleagues, and supervisor about assigned tasks and shift carryover. Demonstrate knowledge of environmental risks and hazards, complying with MSHA and Red Dog EMS training. Ensure daily workplace inspections to identify and correct hazards.

Adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules as a courageous safety leader. Show willingness to learn and advance through the Mine Operators progression. Desire to advance to higher levels in the competency development system by training on specific tasks.
