About this role
The Graduate Mining Engineer EDP position rotates through technical and operational roles in Technical Services and Mine Operations. Recent graduates gain experience planning, tracking, and reconciling mine plans while executing them via field supervision. The program's intent develops well-rounded future leaders.
In Operations Rotation, supervise Pit Operations, Drill & Blast, and Mine Projects crews to ensure plans complete in a safe, productive environment. Technical Rotation builds proficiency in Grade Control and direct design experience in Short-, Mid-, and Long-Range Planning.
Support Technical Services projects such as geotechnical, hydrogeology, and survey while integrating strategies to maximize value and minimize risk. The role demands physical ability to lift 50 pounds, traverse steep berms and muck piles, handle temperature extremes, and hike extended periods.
Training required in environmental awareness, safety, health, including MSHA completion. Promotional review occurs every 18 months with fast track to Engineer III for successful program completers. Other duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering
- Desire to be a leader, always do your best, focus on continual improvement and ongoing career learning
- Excellent computer skills with ability to learn technical software
- Excellent time management, attention to detail, teamwork, and setting ongoing goals
- Able to lift and move 50 pounds occasionally
- Traverse steep areas including berms and muck piles
- Handle temperature extremes and walk/hike for extended periods
- Complete training in environmental awareness, safety, health, and MSHA
Responsibilities

- Provide technical leadership and proficiency in Grade Control
