Our mission is to improve lives and shape a better future together, and we are currently seeking an Underground Miner to join our Operations team in Sudbury.
As an Underground Miner, you will provide a full range of underground services while working according to work procedures and company policies. You will work on a rotation schedule covering days and nights, ensuring efficient operations within a safety-conscious environment.
This is a unionized (L6500) permanent on-site position where you will follow all established policies, procedures, and best practices as well as industry-specific regulations. You will work closely and cooperatively with peers and supervisors to achieve the objectives of the plant in a safe and professional manner.

Requirements
- Grade 12 level education or GED equivalency is required.
- Basic Underground Hard Rock Miner - Common Core certification.
- Minimum of 6 months of underground mining experience.
- Must be able to pass required examinations and read and understand safety instructions, books of rules, timetables, bulletins, waybills, placards, and other written or printed material.
- Must have a good understanding of Safety and Environmental policy and procedures and ensure work is conducted accordingly.
- Ability to handle heavy physical work in a demanding underground environment.
Responsibilities
- Follow all established policies, procedures, and best practices as well as industry-specific regulations.
- Work closely and cooperatively with peers and supervisors to achieve plant objectives in a safe and professional manner.
- Operate and maintain underground mining equipment including drills, loaders, and haul trucks.
- Perform ground support activities such as bolting, screening, and scaling to ensure safe working conditions.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections and hazard assessments of work areas and equipment.
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of ventilation, electrical, and water systems underground.
