NACG is seeking Finish Dozer Operators to join our remote mining site team in the Fort McMurray area. This is your opportunity to join one of the safest and largest contracts in the region. NACG offers a combined rate of up to $53.83/hour as well as room for growth.
Operators will work at the Fort Hills site on a 14 x 7 schedule with 12-hour days, including rotations of 14 days on/7 off days and nights. Camp accommodation is provided along with flights to and from Edmonton or Calgary, and bussing from Fort McMurray to site. Overtime is provided after 8 hours in a day or 44 hours in a week.
Successful candidates will become part of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955, one of the largest IUOE locals in North America. The role emphasizes compliance with all company, client, and legislated safety policies and procedures. A safety-first attitude is essential in this mining environment.
Benefits include vacation and statutory holiday pay allocated to each paycheck, night shift premium of +$1.20/hour, and paid weekly. Membership provides benefits and pension after 400 hours worked, including medical and dental. Transportation to and from site saves on gas expenses, with PPE provided except for CSA certified steel-toed boots.

Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience working as a Finish Dozer Operator on a civil type project
- Previous experience operating D3 to D8 sized Dozer or larger
- Previous experience operating with muskeg / soft & wet ground required
- Previous experience building roads / corridors
- Previous experience backfilling pipe/trenches
- Previous experience sloping/spotting trucks
- Minimum one year experience in a mining atmosphere preferred
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
Responsibilities
- Operate various sizes and models of Dozers required to complete assigned work
- Read stakes and be able to place a grade as needed
- Ensure compliance to all company, client and legislated safety policies, operating standards and procedures
- Use adequate and suitable safety equipment, including PPE
- Review safe work plans and hazard assessments prior to job commencement and follow all requirements
- Complete equipment and area walk-arounds, safety checks and field level risk assessments
- Report any necessary or anticipated repairs to the maintenance team or supervisors immediately
- Report all incidents, near misses or damage immediately
