Rogers Group Inc., the largest privately held aggregate producer in the United States, is seeking a Night Shift Underground Miner for its Gallatin Quarry in Gallatin, TN. This role demands an uncompromising focus on safety excellence and experience operating mining equipment in an underground environment.
Day-to-day responsibilities include operating a face drill, roof bolter, wheel loader, scaler, or excavator with scaler attachment in confined underground spaces. You will also work with explosives and the blasting process to facilitate production, and perform daily pre- and post-inspections with proper documentation.
This position is part of a safety-first team that values precision and self-motivation. You will work night shifts in a hard rock mine, tolerating loud noises and all types of weather while maintaining mine ventilation and general quarry duties.

Requirements
- Uncompromising focus on safety excellence
- At least one year of proficient experience operating underground mining equipment – such as a face drill, scaler, roof bolter, or loader – is preferred
- Willing to work in an underground mining environment
- Able to operate underground mining equipment with precision and excellence in a confined space
- Ability to pick up on new tasks quickly
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when necessary
- Must be able to work underground and outside in all types of weather and tolerate being exposed to loud noises
- Self-motivated – able to work without requiring close supervision
Responsibilities
- Operate a face drill and/or roof bolter in an underground hard rock mine
- Operate a wheel loader in a confined space to muck headings and load haul trucks
- Run a scaler or an excavator with scaler attachment to scale rock from mine walls
- Work with explosives and the blasting process to facilitate production
- Perform daily pre- and post-inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies
- Properly follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA/Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment
- Maintain safety items and keep the mine well ventilated
- Perform general work around the quarry and other assigned duties as needed
