About this role
Support the safe, efficient and cost effective production of electric energy by performing various power plant mechanical tasks. SRP is one of the largest public power and water utilities in the U.S., providing electricity to approximately one million customers in the greater Phoenix area.
Day-to-day work involves maintenance and repair of all facilities and equipment at Power Generation sites, including construction work as needed. You will perform preventive maintenance, apply predictive maintenance technologies, and diagnose failures to troubleshoot equipment and systems.

Requirements
- Experience in maintenance and repair of power plant mechanical equipment
- Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies and preventive maintenance practices
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment and system failures
- Competent operation of lifting equipment and application of safe rigging standards
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, including precision measuring instruments
- High school diploma or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Support the safe, efficient and cost effective production of electric energy by performing various power plant mechanical tasks
- Perform maintenance and repair of all facilities and equipment at Power Generation sites
- Perform construction work as necessary to support plant requirements
- Perform preventive maintenance and provide feedback on follow up work and program improvement
- Apply and use predictive maintenance technologies to enhance plant maintenance
- Diagnose failures and troubleshoot equipment and systems to improve the maintenance effort
- Operate lifting equipment and apply safe rigging standards
- Use precision measuring, portable heat, and other tools competently
