About this role

Enviri Corporation is seeking an Industrial Plant Mechanic/Welder to join our team at the Hamilton, CA site. This role is essential to maintaining and repairing equipment across the entire MR Plant, ensuring safe and efficient operations in a heavy industrial environment.

Day-to-day responsibilities include performing repairs to structural and non-structural equipment, carrying out preventative maintenance, and assisting with welding repairs as needed. You will follow strict lockout procedures, inspect equipment for damage or leaks, and maintain a clean, organized work area.

You will work under the direction of plant supervision and collaborate closely with plant personnel, stepping in to assist with production when short-staffed. Mill service vehicles have top priority, and you are expected to support those operations as required.

This position offers a stable hourly wage of $33.87 and the opportunity to maintain and grow your welding and trade certifications. Enviri provides a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, RRSP match, and monthly incentive bonuses.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Welding experience with relevant tickets.
  • Industrial Mechanic experience.
  • Ability to follow lockout procedures and safety protocols.
  • Capability to perform repairs on structural and non-structural equipment.
  • Willingness to assist with production and mill service vehicle operations as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Operate under direction of plant supervision to carry out repairs, prefab work, and preventative maintenance.
  • Perform repairs to structural and non-structural equipment around the MR Plant and assist with welding repairs.
  • Follow lockout procedures and ensure work area is safe and free of debris.
  • Inspect equipment for damage or leaks and report accordingly; ensure all guards are in place.
  • Maintain maintenance supply inventories and keep the work area and inventory storage area clean and organized.
  • Assist plant personnel when short-staffed on production.
  • Report any dust emissions, fluid spills, or leaks from equipment or the MR plant.
  • Maintain in good standing any welding or trade certificates and follow all plant, torch, and equipment lockout procedures.
