About this role

Support the safe, efficient and cost effective production of electric energy by performing various power plant mechanical tasks at SRP's Coolidge facility. As one of the largest public power and water utilities in the U.S., SRP provides electricity to approximately one million customers in the greater metropolitan Phoenix area.

In this role, you will perform maintenance and repair of all facilities and equipment at Power Generation sites, including construction work as necessary to support plant requirements. You will apply predictive maintenance technologies and diagnose failures to troubleshoot equipment and systems, enhancing the overall maintenance effort.

Requirements

Experience performing mechanical maintenance in a power plant or heavy industrial environment
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical equipment failures
Competent in safe rigging standards and operation of lifting equipment
Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies and preventive maintenance practices
Ability to perform construction work to support plant requirements

Responsibilities

Maintenance and repair of all facilities and equipment at Power Generation sites
Performs construction work as necessary to support plant requirements
Performs preventive maintenance and provides feedback on follow up work and program improvement
Applies and uses predictive maintenance technologies to enhance plant maintenance
Diagnoses failures and troubleshoots equipment and systems to improve the maintenance effort
Competent operation of lifting equipment and application of safe rigging standards
Competent and responsible use of hand and power tools
Competent use of precision measuring and portable heat equipment
