About this role

Reporting to the Supervisor of Production Enablement, the Mining Production Analyst analyses performance and determines how best to define, prioritise, plan and implement improvements that safely deliver the most value to the business.

You will execute analysis and benchmarking of Mining Production’s end-to-end performance, identify improvement initiatives, and provide specialist advice to the department at the South Flank mine site.

The role operates on a 5:2 / 4:3 fly-in fly-out roster within a mining environment that requires strong focus on health, safety and continuous improvement to build a high-performance culture.

Requirements

Recognised Tertiary Degree in STEM
Minimum 2 years work experience in an open cut mining environment
Strong analytical ability with excellent planning, visualisation and presentation skills
Demonstrated track record of continuous improvement and project delivery
Sound computer skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Strong communication, negotiation, influencing and relationship skills
Experience using Power Platform and SQL highly regarded
Experience using Fleet Software (Dispatch, FrontRunner, Provision) advantageous

Responsibilities

Analyse performance to define, prioritise and implement improvements that deliver value to the business
Execute analysis and benchmarking of Mining Production’s end-to-end performance
Investigate process and equipment related productivity improvement opportunities
Initiate and execute root cause analysis for mining productivity and cost reduction projects
Prepare inputs and assumptions for short- and medium-term production plans and monitor execution
Review weekly and monthly Compliance to Plan metrics to identify performance gaps
Maintain and improve production reporting tools to ensure data accuracy and usability
Perform high-quality on-demand analysis and provide clear recommendations
