About this role

The Process Plant Mechanical Maintenance team at Roy Hill is seeking a Specialist to provide expert knowledge in maintaining, repairing, and optimising fixed plant equipment. This role reports to the Manager Maintenance and is critical to driving overall improvements in maintenance processes.

You will monitor and report on system effectiveness, working with leaders to improve processes and deliver department outcomes. Based on performance KPIs and OEE data, you will recommend improvements to planning, scheduling, and execution.

The role operates on a 4/3, 4/3, 4/3, 8/6 days-only roster, FIFO from Perth to the Roy Hill mine. You will collaborate with area stakeholders to maximise opportunities for planned improvements and ensure technical documentation is reviewed and completed.

This position is imperative to long-term and medium-term plans, including asset performance, maintenance and shutdown strategies, and capital improvement initiatives. You will lead structured problem-solving and drive safety and production business improvement projects across the fixed plant.

Requirements

  • Experience in fixed plant maintenance improvement roles and environments
  • Tertiary or equivalent trade and operational qualifications and experience
  • Sound technical operations and planning skills, including ability to formulate and collaboratively execute project plans
  • Leading structured problem solving and ability to navigate ambiguity and assess options to support sound decision-making
  • Advanced levels of communication (verbal, written, and electronic) with clear ability to present and influence
  • Demonstrated safety critical risk improvement mindset
  • Experience in SAP or similar CMMS

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, report, and work with leaders to improve the effectiveness of systems and processes to deliver department outcomes
  • Recommend improvements based on performance KPIs and OEE data to maintenance processes including planning, scheduling, and execution
  • Create, implement, and drive the delivery of fixed plant maintenance safety and production business improvement projects
  • Work with area stakeholders to maximise opportunities with planned improvements, ensuring technical documentation is reviewed and completed
  • Lead structured problem-solving to address complex maintenance challenges and support sound decision-making
  • Drive continuous improvement of maintenance strategies and asset performance aligned with life-of-mine long-term plans
